Music & Memory
This non-profit organization, based in Mineola, brings personalized music into the lives of the elderly or infirm through digital music technology, helping those with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other cognitive and physical challenges to reconnect with the world through music-triggered memories. The group teaches elder care professionals in local health care facilities, as well as family caregivers, how to create personalized playlists for care recipients through iPods and related digital systems.

This web-based community was created to help families caring for elders with chronic illnesses, providing expert content, resources and online tools designed to make care coordination and sharing of information easy among the family’s care circle care.
